As far as Brooklyn natives go, Larry Brown is the obvious choice. Nobody has proven himself able to right a ship overnight like Brown has. The fact that he’s currently coaching on the collegiate level almost makes it seem more likely to happen, what with the way he hops from ship to ship all the time.

But at some point NBA owners are gonna hafta figure a way to get it together with the new generation, coach included.

Alternatively, if fame is what the owner wants, he could welcome back Kotter to Brooklyn. Didn’t he go on to coach a basketball team once?
