Ok so then my interpretation of your comments means you stipulate that the whole thing was an act…they were simply fronting? If that’s the case then why do it? Just walk away. Also I disagree w/ your toughness assertion. Most of these guys are probably very comfortable with hand-to-hand situations, if you know anyone who grew up in an urban environment it’s pretty much a pre-req.

There is so much money to be lost now in fighting that players are always advised to avoid it. Look at hockey. They fight but you don’t see datsuk and stamkos doing it. They have designated “enforcers” to do the dirty work. If players in hockey ever got huge fines for fighting, they’d stop doing it too.

Basketball players and baseball players fight like such sissies. Have these guys ever thrown a punch? They all swing like women or someone who doesn’t know what hand is dominant.

What do you expect? Whether these guys are tough or not (and most aren’t), they aren’t stupid.

This isnt the 1970′s NBA where fighting was tolerated. That all changed when Kermit Washington knocked Rudy Tomjanovich out cold. Couple that with Ron Artest/Metta World Peace’s year long suspension and the players have caught the hint.

I like both Kim Noah and Tyson but the NBA has this hold me back culture that I really hate. They were face to face (or approximately) for a good 4-5 seconds and neither even looked like they wanted to throw a blow (this is a good thing) and then as soon as people jump in between they start trying to get at each other. Lame.

I know most of the readers on this board have little experience with streetfights but for those that do, I’m sure these fraceses bring a smile to your face like they do mine!
