Former NBA player Crittenton charged with domestic abuse

Ugh.

Former NBA player Javaris Crittenton has racked up more legal trouble. This following him being suspended by the league for having guns in the locker room as the other guy in the Gilbert Arenas/Wizards incident. Or the time he was arrested for murder (that has not gone to trial yet). Or the time he was arrested for obstruction of an officer.

Now this from TMZ.com

Javaris Crittenton — ex-NBA star and accused murderer — is now being accused of slapping his baby mama in the face while she was breastfeeding their 1-day-old child … TMZ has learned.

Crittenton has temporarily been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Tyress Daniels and their newborn son … after she filed court docs outlining a pattern of domestic violence.

TMZ has more disgusting details if you want them. But if you haven’t gotten the picture by now I don’t know what to tell you.

Crittenton has not set foot on an NBA court since the suspension with the Wizards over the gun incident. And he never will again after all this. No team is taking that risk (for this level of talent, what a team will put up with is correlated with how good a player someone is).

I wonder if this makes him a “brotha” and not a “Cornball” brotha according to the still employed r parker. maybe this solidifies his blackness

I was gonna say. Javaris Crittenton is officially more “black” than Robert Griffin.

I agree that teams will take/give chances with better players, but would a team put up with a murder charge for a LeBron/Kobe/Durant type of a player?

I love basketball. To have the ability to make basketball a career, and then be a complete moron and throw all of that away, just astounds me.

If he doesn’t already, he’s going to regret many of his choices.

Not justifying wat stallworth or little did…but what they did were accidents…didn’t this guy do a drive-by type thing nd shot n killed the wrong person?!? I have no idea how he’s out right now after he fought a cop nd now slaps his wife…he should be enjoying his last days as a free man cuz once his murder trial starts, its all over from there. Smh what a waste of human being.

Leonard Little was drunk and blew through an intersection and killed someone. In Stallworth’s case, he struck a man who was illegally attempting to cross a major thoroughfare trafficked by cars moving at speed. Stallworth immediately stopped and attempted to help the man. He immediately spoke openly and directly to the victim’s family of his responsibility for his actions while expressing remorse, plead guilty and was sentenced with these facts considered and with approval from the deceased’s family. Form whatever opinion you wish from these facts.
