Probably because no one cares about the Magic other than Magic fans. Yet non-Lakers fans care about the Lakers, and will read about them, and comment on articles about them, just like you do.

I don’t think Kurt watched the video.
In the article he writes:

“Seeing what Kobe does in slow motion can be amazing. Kids at home, you watch his footwork, that’s what you should mimic.”

The video only shows Kobe’s upper half.

Kobe’s possibly the most individually skilled player to ever step on the court. He can really score the basketball, and he does it with skill and smarts, not overwhelming athletiscm.

That being said, he barely cracks the top-10 all time list (althought that’s even debatable) b/c of his pedestrian 45% career fg%. He’s not a great passer or rebounder, so that relatively low fg% (for a HOF calibre scorer) is going to hurt your legacy.

If the lakers were over .500 I can understand posting something like this.
Hey Kurt the Orlando magic have a better winning % than the lakers. Why don’t you write about how well they play team defense or how unselfish they are. Look at their box score. Maybe LA can learn how to play as a team. The magic have no superstars but have heart and rotate on D.

What frightens me as a 76ers fan are the problems we’re going to have guarding top-flight scorers without Iguodala manning them up. Kobe Bryant is going to score on anybody, but having Iggy to take on the opoosing team’s best player was a luxury for a while.

I hate his guts, but Kobe is a beautiful basketball player. After all the minutes, games, and long playoff runs he’s still a big time scorer. He’ll probably retire as the all-time leading scorer.
