A win is always a win even more in this outrageous reallity that lakers fans are we living.. But lets be honest we have won to nobody.. This wizards team doesn t exist.. Were we watching the same game? Or better yet, did you actually watch the game? In the first half, Dwight Howard played only 13 minutes because he was in foul trouble, and Jordan Hill had back spasms before the game. What does that mean? It means that Kobe had to share the floor with our 3rd string point guard (Duhon), our 4th string power forward (Ebanks, who is actually a small forward) and Robert Sacre, who is more of a cheerleader than a player. Kobe tried to facilitate but everyone was missing everything. Even Jodie Meeks, who missed a wide-open layup. Kobe HAD to take over, and not being 100% healthy himself he missed a lot. As for Dwight Howard shooting only 8 times, you should count three throws as well, so that means he attempted a shot 12 times (8 FTA). Something else the stats won’t tell you is what type of shots Kobe had to take, and why. The team offense was completely off, and the Lakers would waste 20 seconds to then give Kobe the ball the last second behind the 3 point line. That’s one of the main reasons Kobe shot too much. I’m not trying to say he had a flawless night, because he was obviously cold the whole night, but at least, you should acknowledge why he shot that much.
And on a side note, Howard is a horrible post player compared to Bynum or Gasol, and back in Orlando he qould only score on dunks and putbacks. He was double-teamed all the time tonight (and many other nights), so he couldn’t shoot.
You should watch the game before commenting, not the box score.

Nice to see the Lakers win, but it was against the current worst team in the NBA and it wasn’t impressive. I’m not getting excited yet until the Lakers string together ten or more victories. Kobe shot too much, yet again the proof that Dumbtoni is a monumental failure as a coach. The Lakers got off to a good start finally, but they slacked off during the game and kept letting the pathetic Wizards team back into the lead.

Jodie Meeks has been a bright spot for the Lakers so far this season, at times he looks like Mini Kobe. MWP put in an excellent game, he needs to play like that every game. Howard seemed like a lame duck last night, he should have torn that small Wizards team apart.

One win does not a season make, the Lakers have to show a sense of urgency that they have been lacking the whole season because they have had the two worst coaches in the NBA misleading them to losses. The Lakers can’t wait for things to come together at some time in the future, if they do in the future their chances for getting into the playoffs will be waiting for them next season.

I can’t wait for Pau Gasol to heal up and start playing again, he is far more important than Ancient Nash to the team. It was painful watching the Lakers try to play small ball.

Last night was the first game they won with Bryant taking more shots than the team has assists.

Bryant shots attempts greater than Laker assists: 1-10
Laker assists greater than Bryant shot attempts::: 9-4

But let’s be honest: If we had the level of talent at anything that Kobe Bryant does basketball, we wouldn’t be caught nerding-out about the NBA here on the Web.

Who here saw the foul called on Kobe when he jacked up the 3 with about 4 min in the 4th? Lakers up by 3 and he’s fouled. Replay shows defender caught him with “air”. It wasn’t even remotely close to a foul. Guy was a foot away, Kobe hits all 3 foul shots and the game was pretty much put away

That ref should be banned altogether after a call like that. Nothing short of shameful. Nonetheless Lakers pick up a much needed win BARELY.

Don’t think they have many more of the these “easy” games left. They already played them early on. Best of luck ladies, best of luck.
