Practically every CB that’s currently in the league has no chance to stop Megatron, Andre Johnson, and Dez Bryant. That’s a terrible excuse. Nate could at the very least be a decent nickel corner for a lot of teams that need secondary help like my Saints or Detroit and a lot others.

I find it laughable the degree of arrogance (and ignorance) that some of these guys think they can just simply “show up” and be competitive. Over the last 20 years, there’s been a stream of NFL’ers who voiced a similar sentiment, including guys like Tony Gonzalez & Andre Rison (whom neither could have played in the NBA).

Just because they had minimal success at the collegiate level they think that translates at the next level.

This story simply illustrates the depths of Owen’s 1) megalomania and 2) financial despair.

Can someone give this dude a reality check. The media furthers this behavior by quasi-validating notions like this.

I, for one, am enjoying the slow, methodical process of this QB killer and locker room carcinoma’s slide into oblivion.

Few wounds hurt more than the self-inflicted ones.

I’m aware that Nate was a CB (and a decent one too) at Washington. However, he chose basketball over football for a reason. He would’ve been a liability both in run defense and in the red zone at the pro level. We all know Nate can jump out of the gym, but he’d still have no chance against some of the beast receivers (megatron, andre johnson, dez bryant etc) in the league.

Nate played both football and basketball all his life tho (grew up with him).

I think Bron and Artest (MWP) and Royce White would be decent in the NFL. I think both sports have their pros and cons in a swap. NBA guards would play WR positions. I think they’re be match up issues with nba players being averagely more taller. I think overall you need better skills in the position to play in the NBA but NBA players are nowhere near as tough as NFL players.

Put it like this.. In a fight, the NFL would dismantle the NBA with ease lol.

Get real. NBA players are not built to take anywhere NEAR the punishment NFL guys take. Lebron is one of the only guys I can think of who MIGHT be able to pull it off, but Lebron is a freak.

MWP looks tough on a basketball court. Tell him to take on an NFL guard and he’d shrink faster than George Costanza in a swimming pool.

Really, Wisdom8888? NBA players would only be useful in the RZ; where if you catch it, you won’t get lit up due to the 15 yard penalty. LBJ, Iguodala, Metta play in the middle would get lit up! I’m picturing what Dawkins did to Crumpler.

I think NBA players would stand a better chance of switching to the NFL as opposed to the other way around.

Guys like Lebron and Iguodala are fast, jacked up, and could probably get away with being effective receivers of some kind. Nate Robinson, with his quicks and hops…he could play cornerback tomorrow if he wanted. Metta World Peace clearly has the mentality for football…stick him at DE or LB. Reggie Evans would definitely smash fools on the gridiron and Ty Lawson could be a team’s Barry Sanders…

I know…most of this is a stretch…
