Pau Gasol to miss Lakers game Tuesday. Maybe more.

While this news should come with about as much surprise as the news Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards once did drugs, we pass it along anyway.

Pau Gasol will not suit up for the Lakers on Tuesday night against Cleveland due to knee tendonitis, reports the Los Angeles Times. This will be the fifth game he misses, the Lakers are 1-3 without him so far.

The Lakers are on a four-game road trip with the next stop in New York Thursday for a nationally televised game against the Knicks. So Mike D’Antoni, is Gasol going to play in Madison Square Garden?

“Who knows?” he said Tuesday. “It’s an enigma.”

I don’t know. I think Andrea Bargnani is an enigma. On the off chance you get to coach him someday, Mike.

There will be one return for Tuesday’s game — Kyrie Irving is back for the Cavaliers from a broken finger (he will wear a splint).

The Lakers road trip heads to Washington Friday then Philly on Sunday for the “What is the deal with Andrew Bynum?” festival.

Is it NBC policy that you have to shoehorn at least one tired, barely relevant simile into every article?

Gasol’s still out (not like he was doing anything exceptional) and Irving returns, another loss for Lakers maybe?

This guy is still getting paid to write? This is a joke. I saw some new guy on this site that was decent, but alas, we get a Keith Richards reference that isn’t funny nor is it relevant. Read that nonsense, looked up, saw the name Helin, stopped reading, posted this comment.

it’s almost like the Lakers are saying “hey guys! a well-rested Gasol for sale!”

I don’t get it. The entire Laker team missed the game, and you only write about Pau?
