I actually thought Kurt was kidding! To see that massive 101 points right below the 134 points the Spurs scored on the exact same night had to be a joke. The Heat would’ve have lost by at least 20 pts if they’d played the Spurs with their “complete game”. And is it me, or is “complete game” code for “Wade looked less hobbled than usual”?

Are you serious? It’s the same Hawks team that was coming off a 3-0 start to their road trip, had won 9 of their last 10 games and just beat the team with the best record in the league on their own court (Grizzlies). If you don’t think that’s a big win then I’m afraid you’re not very intelligent. Every team has their fair share of close calls and head-scratching losses. It doesn’t make this any less of a big win. Hawks were playing great ball coming into the game last night and they just couldn’t get stops on the Heat when they needed to.

Also, I’m not sure how you got the writer saying the Heat was “world stoppers” or that it was a Heat lovefest. You’re clearly delusional and have significant reading comprehension issues.

p.s. Just so you know I’m a Pacers fan. I only replied to your post because I think this blog would be a better place if you never commented on it again.

I’m not a Knicks fan, but this isn’t the same ol Knicks. Woodson is a lot better coach than D’Antoni and is proving it so far since being given a full offseason to implement his system. Melo’s game has matured. They’re 15-5 and have beaten great teams without their best talent on the floor, as well as leading the league in the league amount of turnovers.

The Heat knocked down a lot of long range jumpers to beat the Hawks. Their defensive efficiency was 102 points per possession, not much of an improvement. I like that Joel Anthony is getting some minutes. Even though I was all for small ball after watching the finals, I now realize they need a guy in the paint who knows when to rotate on D. Anthony probably shouldn’t play the entire game but he’s a nice change of pace when and usually sparks a Heat run when he’s on the court with LeBron.

Good thing for the Heat is that Wade is averaging 23.5 points on 54% shooting over the last 8 games. He ain’t done yet.

Heat lovefest again? They beat a Hawks team by 9. A team that barely squeaked by a lowly Washington team twice now. Call me when they beat someone worth talking about. However I do like that the Heat can play poor defense most of the year, have one good game and suddenly they’re world stoppers. Show some consistency then maybe ill consider them back on track. For now? Just beating teams they should beat but playing down to their level.

The Knicks don’t turn the ball over. That’s one of the main things that hurt the Heat in both games against them. If the Knicks can continue their ball security, the Heat become much less effective as a half court team. We’ll see what happens next time they meet.

Beat anyone? Do you remember the 2 blowout losses to NY? This is not Russel’s Celtics or Jordan’s Bulls. They one 1 championship in a lockout shortened season, where a number of nba all stars missed the playoffs. They were nearly eliminated by the ancient Celtics.
