That just a stupid-ass post. How can you say the man isn't his own man. You know him that well, huh?. Based on the evidence the only thing I can say is he has modeled his GAME after MJ, he is certainly a different kind of player though. And he seem like he is a pretty strong-willed self assured guy. I don't know him enough to say what kind of MAN he is but if I had to guess, he doesn't seem like a he cares too much what MJ or anybody else thinks - you know sorta like his own man.

We got ALL the FAKER fans out today ....ahahahaha 61 thumbs down.

I'm missing bout 10 more, cause there are bout 71 regulars that patrol this site for anything Fake MJ does.

The next time the Harlem Globetrotters come to your town, go see the show. I GUARANTEE you will see the same trick shots kobe attempts......ahahahahahaha

The only difference is, even the Globetrotters pass the ball.

Wanna-Be-Like-Mike is guaranteed a job, to be the new Curly Neal, after the NBA. ahahahaha

By that statement, no NBA player has an identity of his own. Every player will continue to live under the shadow of MJ for eternity - right?

I think the game is different. A lot more young talent, international talent. The game is smaller and less physical. The playoffs are longer. Depth matters more.

Kobe has 5 rings (3 with Shaq) and 1 MVP. Even if he wins 1 more ring, he won't ever be MJ (with 6 and 6).

Lebron got to the Finals 3 times and won 1 (with Bosh and Wade). Has 3 MVPs and could easily win a 4th this year. It will be tough for him to get the titles MJ had.

Just to continually show wanna-be-like-mike is a distant....VERY DISTANT Identity Thief / Copy Cat:

1. MJ was Finals MVP on all 6 rings.
Wanna-be-MJ was Shaqs waterboy on 3, Gasol had to win one when kobe started pouting cause it
looked like they would lose to the C's.

2. MJ scored 32,292 points over 15 yrs at 50% shooting
Harlem Globe Trotter copy cat has scored 30,016 over 17 yrs at 45% shooting

3. MJ never had to TAKE advantage of a woman, against her will.
We all know what sleazy dude did

As a grown man, it's not honorable to not "be your own man".

I'm not a professional athlete BUT when I look in the mirror I only want to be ME ....most alpha male, grown men do. But we know about the other type of clandestine men....to each is own......ahahahahah

Some of Michael Jordan's characteristics that made him a terrific player also made him a poor GM, chief among them being complete faith in himself and his abilities.

Jordan always believed he was the best player on the court, and because of his background of training and working on his game throughout his career, he was usually right.

However, when he became a GM with no real background in player evaluation, that self-confidence became a problem. You don't necessarily need a lot of experience in player evaluation to become a good GM, but you do need to be willing to listen to expert opinions from people such as scouts. Unfortunately, Jordan would regularly ignore scouting reports and "fall in love" with certain prospects that he met, and he'd refuse to listen to doubters. Charles Barkley has talked about how everybody on Jordan's staff were "Yes-Men" who had figured out that the trick to career advancement was to agree with Jordan, not to challenge him.

Now that Jordan has finally taken a step back and let a professional handle personnel, the Bobcats actually look like they've put together a decent roster.

It's good that Kobe realizes that his unforgiving nature and perfectionism might make him a poor candidate when it comes to team ownership or personnel management, since those roles demand flexibility. I'm sure in a few years he'll carve out a nice role for himself.
