Video: Big Baby rejects Pau Gasol dunk attempt

Dec 3, 2012, 11:27 AM EST

It wasn’t a good night for Pau Gasol. He shot 4-of-11 from the floor, he looked uncomfortable and a step slow again, and Mike D’Antoni benched him the final six minutes of the game. (Of course, Orlando put up 31 points in those final six minutes and won the game, so feel free to second guess.)

Plus there was this — Glen Davis getting up and rejecting a Gasol dunk.

After the game Kobe Bryant said Gasol needs to put on his “big boy pants,” stop complaining and figure out how to help the team. He could have been thinking of this play when saying those things.

Hat tip to SLAM for the video.

Great play. Davis hasn’t jumped that high in his whole career!

Even if Davis doesn’t get to him on time it looked like the rim was going to block that dunk lol
He was benched cause he’s slow and couldn’t guard the pick n roll

big men are obsessed with dunking and making people look bad…lay that high off the glass and its 2 pts all day.

PBT sure is getting a lot of use out of that photo of Pau screaming…
I think I have seen it about 5 times in the last 2 weeks.

True, but PBT tends to re-use photos of stars.

Think the “Rondo in sunglasses on the redcarpet” picture, or my favorite, the Dirk picture with a goofy facial expression.
