Well, it could have been worse. It’s not broken.

Raymond Felton suffered the hand injury in the fourth quarter against the Suns Sunday. The Knicks say an MRI revealed it to be a bone bruise, reports the New York Daily News. While it’s not his shooting hand, the severity of the injury would impact his ball handling.

“It’s swollen right now,” Felton said. “It’s a lot of pain, but we’ll see what happens.”

Felton is listed as day-to-day. Which doesn’t mean much coming from the Knicks, where Jeremy Lin was listed as day-to-day before his surgery last year and Amare Stoudemire was listed as day-to-day to start this season.

Jason Kidd is out — he also is listed as day-to-day but it’s longer term than that — which means the Knicks point guard duties will fall heavily on Pablo Prigioni.

Why is this even news. How did you get a job? Your the most unbalanced journalist/blogger I’ve ever seen. Your worst than Marc Berman NYPost. #failed Knickhater

Kurt, where have you read that Kidd’s injury is longer term than that? He’s only been out seven days if you count today and they don’t have a game to Wednesday.

Also, they misdiagonsed Amare’s injury so you can’t really use that as an example. They thought it was a bone bruise so they didn’t bother to get an MRI until the swelling returned. Felton’s MRI confirmed it was a bone bruise and Chandler had a bone bruise late in training camp, was listed day-to-day and returned to action in a few days.
