Dear Santa, I want the Vancouver Grizzlies practice court

Dec 3, 2012, 7:25 PM EDT

Vancouver Grizzlies Court

‘Tis the season and all that, but what do you get for the basketball junkie in your life who already has everything?

How about the Vancouver Grizzlies old practice court? Because it’s for sale.

And of course, you can find the listing on Craigslist.

Our company has moved into a new building which used to house the training court for the Vancouver Grizzlies and we are looking for anyone interested in taking the floor off of our hands! Asking $13, 000.

I was going to buy this for Adrian Wojnarowski, but remembered he lives in New York. His place is probably a little too small to set this up.

There are teams that all the time will sell pieces of an old court to raise some money, but whole courts never really come up like this. Problem is, the fine folks from Vancouver have disowned the Grizzlies. Not sure there is a huge market for this floor. But it should stay somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. You know, where there are actual grizzly bears. Unlike, say, Memphis.

Hat tip to J.E. Skeets and The Point Forward.

    Here goes nothing…

    Memphis Bobcats
    Utah Grizzlies
    Charlotte Hornets
New Orleans Jazz (As a fan of the team it pains me to give it up, but I doubt that Joseph Smith and Brigham Young would be big Louie Armstrong fans).

…Tell Dave Stern that I am available!

They should pack up that floor, and drop it on Stu Jackson ‘s head, he was the worst GM in the history of the NBA ! Dropped both Vince Carter and Odom in draft in favor of Steve Francis, who refused to sign and Mike Bibby, midget who couldn’t jump. drafted big country Reeves got one decent season out of him, then threw that fat crap $60 million contract , wasted money and did everything in his power to destroy the team with coaches that didn’t want to coach young players, i.e. Brian Hill.Hell, I pull the floor with tackle and rope myself.

How does Shareef Abdur-Rahim not buy this?

Oh you mean , Mr. I don’t want to take the last 2 shots in the game Rahim ? No guts , no glory. Grizz lost more game in last 45 seconds than any team in NBA history. At least Mike Bibby would try to take the shot, before it was blocked.

No lakes in Los Angeles, either. Oh, I forgot, saying “Los Angeles Lakers” is “cool”, so facts go out the window.
