Video: Dwight Howard caps off his big night with a three pointer

Dec 1, 2012, 7:00 PM EDT

Andrew Bynum is so jealous.

When Bynum was with the Lakers his attempted three pointer against the Warriors landed him on the bench. Against the Nuggets, Dwight Howard took a three and everyone loved him for it. I guess that’s what happens when yours goes in.

Howard capped off his 28 point, 20 rebound night with bang (Mike Breen voice) when he lined up a corner three pointer in the closing seconds of the Lakers’ win over the Nuggets. Howard couldn’t contain his exuberance, running up the floor smiling to the crowd and chest bumping teammates when the game ended.

After the game, Howard said of his make: “That’s my spot. That’s what I do in practice. If you need a three, give it to me. That’s the motto.”

Now, if only he could start hitting his free throws the same way.

the difference is that Bynum took a three pointer in the third quarter with the game still in question. Dwight took it in the last 10 seconds of a blowout.

Dwight is a stupid goof. That’s why most people hate him.

Dwight is a goofball. That’s why most people LOVE him.

How can you hate a guy who’s always smiling and likes to have fun?

      It’s easy when it’s howard.

Interesting. Damian Lillard got scolded for dunking uncontested at the end of a win, yet this fool gets applauded for a 3 at the end of a blowout?

Let me “axe” you something: What’s harder, an uncontested dunk (which is just a slap in the face) or hoisting a three-point shot when you can hardly make half your free throws? It just happened to go in. Big deal. The more you try to make Howard into some sort of villain, the more petty you sound.

I think it was a d-bag move on his part Take the shot clock violation or take the 3 with no time left to shoot but if it goes in dont go celebrating your 20 pt win with te 1 finger up like you just won the game. A game that he shouldn’t of even still be in for. stern wants to say the Spurs move is bad for the sport well so is that kind of D-baggery

Who cares about Dwight? I don’t…

    • manchestermiracle - Dec 1, 2012 at 11:23 PM

Yet we have to put up with you searching out and commenting on every Howard story. Oh, yeah, I really believe you don’t care. The opposite of hate (or love, for that matter) is indifference. You are most certainly not displaying indifference and your constant harping on him is definitely not love, so that just leaves hate.

Fine Dwight he is not supposed to hit 3 points. That’s not good for the NBA. Ask great stern…
