Sad considering hockey was gaining quite a following rapidly only 15 years ago. Guess that is what happens when you have 2 extended strikes in the span of a decade.

Stern just announced he’s levying a fine unless they get the stadium completed faster. Since there’s no tenant currently, he’ll just levy it whenever a team does show up. No word yet on whether the team not yet existing exempts tit from the rule against resting players.
