Rajon Rondo meets with league officials regarding fight

Nov 29, 2012, 3:38 PM EDT

The suspension is coming. Probably a long one. But the league is doing its due dilligence before rendering a verdict out of the fight between Rajon Rondo and Kris Humphries, between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets Wednesday night.

Rondo met with league officials Thursday, tweets A. Sherrod Blakely of

Blakely then asked Rondo what he thought would happen.

“You never know. It`s out of my control. Whatever the consequences are that’s what they are.”

Not much else he can say. The Celtics next game is Friday against Portland in Boston, whatever the verdict is it will come down before then.

Did anyone throw a punch? Or was it a lot of shoving?

    • naterich21 - Nov 29, 2012 at 3:52 PM

Many writers said it was just shoving. But the issue is the fact that it spilled in the audience

Last year Artest got ONLY 7 games for ELBOWING Harden, putting the man’s career in serious risk. If Rondo gets any more than a couple for this minor incident, the league officials are hypocritical pricks.

If we use last year as a precedent(which will not happen), Rondo should just get a fine.

If we use the last quarter century as a precedent, you Puh C’s fans should just STHU.

That “fight” warrants only a 1 game suspension. The NBA is as soft as paulharg…..never mind.

Nba is not just plying basketball. You earned millions not just to dribble but to be a role model though.. Sorry boy

  7. lakerluver - Nov 29, 2012 at 5:10 PM

“Boy”? Lemfaxx, based on your logic I guess hockey players aren’t role models either, huh? You’re ignorant.

Looks like the punishment will be severe. A short suspension of one or two games would probabaly be handed out without questioning.

U2. I’m talking ’bout basketball. Maybe you also want to add the boxing into conversation

Best part is the Celtics lost the game.
