Video: Joey Crawford’s blocking call dance is spectacular

Nov 28, 2012, 8:01 AM EDT

Referee Joey Crawford was in full on “I want to be part of this game” mode on Tuesday night, injecting himself into the Pacers win over the Lakers with questionable calls and handing out technicals like candy on Halloween.

But this blocking call was the best — maybe the best blocking call ever in NBA history. This is classic. Watch it on a loop. Anytime today you get a little down just bring up Crawford’s blocking call dance video and you will smile.

Well, unless you’re Chris Duhon (who got called for the foul on David West). Or Mike D’Antoni. Or most Lakers fans. But the rest of you enjoy.

i am not a lakers fan in no way fashion or form but he was very quick to t up kobe…i kno kobe throws his hands up after every no calll but kobes momentum took him out of bounds and it looked he was just saying hey or man nothing that looked like an insult to crawford.

    crawford needs to retire

Don’t smile or laugh if you’re Timmy either. NBA refs tend to HATE it when you do that…..

Okay, I get the “Joey Crawford has to go” thing.

    BUUUUTTTTT………..

That is not an easy move to pull off, and he made it look pretty easy. You try and make that move in front of 20,000 people and see how you do.

Is he making an ass of himself? Of course. Is he doing it with style? Absolutely. Well done.

Whether your a lakers fan or not. You should want the calls to be correct and respect the game. We do get a lot
Of superstar calls I will admit but that was just ridiculous. Joey Crawford thinks people come to see him. He needs to just go away. And before you say something about it being lakers just imagine if that happened to your team.

Will Duhon get a flop penalty for that one? I’m sick of these guys who stand there, and when the player driving jumps up in the air and barely even touches the defender, they fall backwards as if they were shot with a cannonball. It’s getting to be ridiculous.

Joe Crawford always has to make it about him.

Will somebody PLEASE put that senile ol windbag out of his misery. News flash Joey……. NOBODY comes too see you. He should have been sh*t canned after he tried too fight Tim Duncan.

Come on guys, lay off poor Joey. He just wanted to be part of the party and learn this new dance craze…

I can’t believe no one’s going to mention how epic that dance was, lol

    Joey Crawford sucks

I will never laugh at any ref call in the NBA. As far as I am concerned, their” give the stars the breaks ” calls, their homer calls at critical times after having quietly watching most of the game with bubble gum stuck in their whistles, have ruined professional basketball. Give me a good college game anytime.

Hard to forget that other game if you’re a Spurs fan. He later admitted it was a bad call. Did you notice Josh Howard’s flop at the end of the Spurs video?
