Video: In first Chinese game, McGrady stripped with game on line

Nov 26, 2012, 12:33 PM EDT

Tracy McGrady’s first game in China didn’t exactly end well.

The score is 92-92 with 18.5 seconds left and the Qingdao Eagles got their new star the ball in isolation out top with a chance to win it. And then McGrady gets casual with his dribble and is stripped with 15 seconds left. Embarrassing.

Keep watching, because that is former NBA player Sundiata Gaines hitting the game winner. Yes Jazz fans, that is the Sundiata Gaines of the dramatic game winner to beat LeBron’s Cavaliers.

Hat tip to nba247365.com for the video.

I feel kind of bad for Tracy McGrady, because this guy was a top 10 player in his prime. It’s unfortunate what knee issues can do to any athlete.

This team has DJ Mbenga and Olumide Oyedeji as well. Talk about a dominant frontcourt!

He also almost had a triple double

I don’t feel bad – he should be performing at a decent level, he always was really casual maybe he could shake off those sleepy eyes and wake up for a change. No chance for this old dog to put up big numbers. I’m glad he’s still playing internationally though.
