When you consistently rely on unnamed sources you will begin to be used as a pawn. It’s journalism 101, but it’s a lesson that always gets brushed aside in the interest of landing “a scoop” and making a career.
Sports and political reporting seem to be the biggest victims.

i would really like him to identify exactly what he means when he says “support”. They have provided him doctors and allowed him privileges not extended to any other player in the league. This doesn’t seem to be enough for him so clarify publicly what it is that you would like from them that they aren’t providing.

White made it very clear pre-draft he had this anxiety disorder. I remember watching an ESPN segment devoted to it – any team that drafted White had to understand that this guy was unwilling to fly on planes regularly.

He didn’t hide it then claim disability after – he told teams, fans, and the media.

Because of that, I would have never drafted him in the first round, but the Rockets did, and they have to deal with his mental illness.

The Rockets have only themselves to blame for taking a guy with this illness – he was upfront about it the entire pre-draft process.

The rockets get to fine him 15k per day- do the fines go back to Houston or does it go to charity after that?

It is probably better that houston just ignore the guy for the next couple years and just chalk it up to a big mistake.

I’m tired of hearing about it. Lesson to be learned is- the stigma on mental illness is justified. Just stay away.

He’ll def get a second chance, this isn’t the NFL. In the NBA talent trumps all, he’s just going to be on a minimum deal. The Spurs for instance would snatch this guy up in two seconds.

Not surprised, WOJ has been making up stories for years. For the last two years he consistently preached that Dwight Howard to the Nets was inevitable and he had many “sources” in both organizations that told him it was going to happen. Either the dude makes up almost all of his sources or people just give him bad info in purpose, either way he’s a total clown.

Wojnarowski may not be the sole source of the creation of perception, but he contributes to it. And stating things along the lines of “that is what is being said” does the same.

So many unnamed sources are cited in so many different stories that people no longer remember where they heard something, but the perception remains. At least that’s what I heard somewhere.

I know he has a disorder but it seems like the Rockets are trying to find a solution to this issue they allow him to do things other players aren’t able to do. It seems as though his problems with the rockets started when he was sent to the D league. There wasnt a problem in the preseason. He should be trying to get back on the court and stop using this disorder as a excuse because I seriously doubt he will get a second chance.
