Video: Blake Griffin with insane block on Deron Williams

Nov 23, 2012, 8:41 PM EDT

Oh me oh my. (Well, they probably said that on the Clippers’ broadcast.)

Blake Griffin is not usually the fastest with defensive rotations, but sometimes athleticism can make up for a lot.

Just ask Deron Williams, who thought he had a path to the rim only to run into Griffin and get blocked — not just blocked but Griffin just rips the ball out of his hands and makes the outlet pass.

It’s early, but that may well be the play of Friday night.

I guess “Eric Bledsoe with insane block on Deron Williams” just didn’t have enough star power for you?
Give Bledsoe some credit, he had a sweet block recently on “Way of Wade” (self-given nicknames are always the worst) too.

That Bledsoe block of Wade on that fast break was sooooooo nice. Watched it about 10 times.

    Deron Williams is so over-rated.

DWill was humbled on this play. I’m glad this happened. Maybe he can learn how to distribute the ball more. He can be the best point guard in the league if he would just pass more. This team plays much better when they attack the basket. It might be poor coaching.

Not only blocked the ball, but stole it and sent it back the other way. Love it!
