The west is definitely the toughest. Putting aside NBA finals (last year at least) and the all-star game (great individual stars on both sides of the country), the west dominates. Most of the trash teams are in the east. Even the Lakers would be doing better if they played more eastern conference teams.

Come on, dude, the East wins once every 5 years. The West at the moment has four contenders for the title- the Spurs, OKC, Clips, and Memphis. And by the time the playoffs start the LAKERS will also be in that group. The East has Miami. The Knicks, Nets and Celtics are pretenders.

I’ve also watched Perkins play D and I think he’s vastly overrated. He’s slow, and he doesn’t block shots. I know defense is more than that but honestly Perk doesn’t do much. Containing Dwight now that Dwight has some help is going to be much harder. Especially when Nash returns and the LAKERS are running pick & rolls. Perk will be in foul trouble by the end of the 1st qrt.

I agree, he can guard Dwight, we’ve all seen it. Sometimes he’ll get torched but it’s more about the luxury of not having to send a double when you play against a dominant center.

As far as guarding Rondo.. come on, Perk. He will get lit up.

@lakerluver As a magic fan, I’ve watched many games in person at Amway. One thing I can tell you is Perkins CAN guard Dwight Howard, I’ve seen it many times. It’s the main reason Boston matched up well against the magic in the past. He may struggle a lot, but if he’s motivated Perkins can guard most centers quite well.

The Celtics took the Heat to a 7th game in a series they could’ve won last season if Wade was called for the foul on Rondo at the end of regulation in game 2. All that happened while your Lakers got their ass kicked 4-1 by the Thunder. XD

Perkins can’t even guard centers, how is he going to guard Rondo? That being said, OKC is gonna beat the C’s like they stole something. The East stinks. Boston would be a 7th or 8th seed in the West.
