The biggest sham is Boston’s defense (or lack of it). No Tom Thibodeau, the real architect, to fix it either. Rivers is a fraud.

Also, Rondo is dealing with an injured ankle AND they have a game against the Spurs coming up.

Most would agree Rondo needs healthy ankles to keep up with Tony Parker…so it made a TON of sense to bench Rondo when the game was out of hand, yet he didn’t.

Yeah, that’s right. Doc Rivers NEVER benches his starters when they’re down by 15 points with 2 minutes to go.

*rolls eyes.*

Coach Rivers is famous for (wisely) pacing his stars during the regular season. When a game is out of reach, they get benched and are ready to fight another day. The goal is to keep everybody fresh and healthy for the playoffs.

When he leaves starters in despite a game being clearly lost, it stands out.

I wasn’t aware that stats no longer count in blowout wins/losses. I must’ve missed the rule change that if you’re down by double digits that you have to bench your starters and stop trying to make shots.

I agree with Kurt, it was a sham. They were getting drilled by one of the worse teams in the league and they’re thinking about a streak? Actually, I’m surprised and a little disappointed in Rondo and Doc both.

Blatche had 22 points and 0 in the 4th soooo I have no idea what you’re talking about. Unless you mean Cousins who had 29 in the game and 11 in the 4th…for the Kings…in a loss?
