Many coaches don’t give less athletic shooters (sometimes white players in general) a chance to play or to do what they do best. I believe Brown is that kind of coach who is unable to use players to their fullest potential.
And since I brought it up; I firmly believe there is a (reverse) racist undercurrent on many NBA teams (not that I think Brown is racist).
Ooops, Did I just say that out loud?

The Hornets just gave up their chance to win the title this year. Wherever Matt Carroll ends up will surely change the landscape of the NBA title picture. Hat tip to Marc Stein for really caring about the future of Matt Carroll.

You shouldn’t have to be “sold” on a career 43.4% three point shooter like Kapono. Kapono is, and was, a great shooter. You may argue that he didn’t have a good year with the Lakers, but you can’t discount his actual shooting.

AND, he only attempted 27 threes all year. Definitely not enough to get a good gauge on his shooting ability.

If the Lakers sign Matt Carroll, they would be making a bad bench worse.
Just because a guy is white and unathletic with a limited skillset does not make him a shooter. People tried to sell me on the Jason Kapano move last year as Jason being a much needed shooter and he never made an impact in the purple and gold. The same results will occur with Matt Carroll.
