K-Mart to the Heat, why the hell not? Some Heat fans are worried about the Heat getting trounced in rebounding and dominated by bigger teams. K-Mart may be the right pick after all. Heat don’t need any more guards coz there’s too many of them. It may be wise to cut Terrel Harris and bring in K-Mart. This time we’re not only going to rely on UD to strengthen the front court, you have another veteran that’s proven to get the right numbers that the Heat need. So why not?

Personally, I’d like to see the Celtics pick him up. So far, Darko (injured), Sullinger (NBDL candidate), and Melo (?) aren’t helping much. Plus, Martin is currently a better and more consistent player than all three of those big men.

I like the idea of K-Mart, but I don’t see where the minutes are for him. I doubt he will want to sit on the bench 4 out of 5 nights. The role he would want is already occupied by UD (a Miami guy through and through)…

Are the Heat really playing well? I’m not so sure about that….And if Martin had some “serious game” he would be on a team right now. Even in his best days Martin didn’t have serious game. He blocked a few shots and dunked. I’m not saying he wouldn’t help the Heat but let’s not go overboard here.

Kenyon Martin showed that he has some game left last year with the Clippers. The Heat would benefit from adding another tough front court player, especially one who can catch a bounce pass and occasionally dunk, but he won’t be the answer defensively. Miami has been terrible on their rotations; overreacting to the kickout, closing out late other times, and often the Heat defender isn’t even sure which guy he’s supposed to check. Anyway, Kenyon might solidify that frontcourt or he could be a frustrated bench warmer who creates strife. Tough decision.
