Who is Kurt Helin to decide whether or not the ads are dumb or controversial? According to LinkedIn he is a Blogger in Chief of ProBasketballTalk.com at NBCsports.com in the Greater Los Angeles Area, therefore he is an outsider and has no concept of the New York mindset. As a Knick fan, I find the ads clever and witty and will watch them Friday night against the Mavericks at home with my DIME girlfriend.

It’s NY, the truth hurts for a few seconds, then New Yorkers man up and get on with it. Broadway is waaaaaaaaay over priced. Go see Off-Broadway plays, support actors that really care about their craft, not the $$$. And the productions are first rate, without all the fancy bells and whistles

The first one is obviously sexist. Pretty sure females buy Knicks tickets too. And don’t kid yourself-if every woman thought she was a 10, make-up and gym memberships would cease to exist.
Knocking the poetry crowd is just stupid.

The first two don’t really do harm b/c my guess is the markets being dissed are mostly mutually exclusive with the Knicks market (plus no woman admittedly thinks she’s a six) The last one is a no-no since someone was seriously injured.
