Video: J.R. Smith’s monster slam dunk

Nov 6, 2012, 9:30 AM EDT

The Knicks blew out the Sixers for the second time in as many days, and this slam dunk from J.R. Smith provided the exclamation point.

Two things to love about this one: First, the way Smith’s entire body seems to arch back as he’s flying toward the rim before throwing it down is amazing. And second, the fact that he took a few steps toward, and possibly even into the crowd on the road after doing so shows all kinds of swagger.

Coming from someone who supports the Eagles, that is ESPECIALLY ironic.

not that big of a deal, even though i do see some evolution in J.R’s game which is
    a good thing

I love these types of dunks where the player arcs their entire body into it. They always seem more powerful than the boring vertical jump dunks.

this dunk was good, but not so good it needed to be posted twice.
