This is just bad. If you can’t get DeRozan for cheaper than this then you let him walk. 4 years and 30 million would be overpaying.

I get stuck watching this team 40 games a year on the west coast, since they last made the playoffs , their management and coaching staff has been a mess. They had one decent coach Sam Mitchell, who was Coach of the Year, and he got canned for insisting that the players work hard at defense, they complained to management and he was fired. They always draft soft European players that throw up long jumpers at crunch time( sound familiar Melo ? ) and won’t play in the paint or draft undersized guys like Ed Davis and Johnson. They choke and lose in the last 2 minutes of so many games they had leads , poor coaching.Like tonight for example, Been doing this for the last 6-7 years The more things change, the more they stay the same in Rapland.

The CBA can’t protect teams from their own GM. Bad decisions tend to sink teams as much as poor salary structures.

He is not nearly as good as Courtney Lee who signed for about half that amount. Signing players like DeRozan, Harden and Gordon to such huge contracts is the reason these teams will struggle. It doesn’t help them create teams that can compete, plus it limits their financial ability to compete for elite players.

I’m impressed that the Milwaukee Bucks were able to say no to extending Jennings. They need to find a team to trade him to so they can invest their money elsewhere.

They WAY overpaid for DD. He has improved his shot since entering the league, but that growth was from “terrible” to “below average”.

10 mill per shows me that the Raptors are falling for the old “solid scorer on a team with limited options” rouse.
