K-Mart is a “bruiser down low” and an asset on the court. But Off the court his ego knows no bounds, an ego that surpasses anyone in the league. An ego that believes he’s better and more valuable then he truly is. Add to that delusional ego an incredibly negative attitude with a constant chip on his shoulder, and you get a cancer to the chemistry of any team. It’s no wonder no team or star players with clout wants an unlikeable K-Mart on their bench, at their practices, on their plane rides home, etc. etc. etc.

While he’s sticking to his principles he’ll be sitting at home! Its not like contending teams need him to them get over the hump! He earned quite a bit over his NBA career and knocking on the door of retirement and he has the nerve to give contending teams conditions! Winning a ring can’t be that important because his greed is standing in his way!

Agreed. I’m not really sure what Odom is outside of a Laker uniform. Even as a Laker in his 6th MOY season I was less high on him than others. The guy has just always seemed like a coaster who was happy his talent was superior enough to place him in the NBA. At least with K-Mart you know you’re getting a bruiser who is going to bang down low with ALL COMERS! That would seem to me much more of a premium than what Odom may or may not bring.

The Clippers should have re-signed him instead of inexplicably signing Lamar Odom. I agree with the previous poster that he’d be good for San Antonio, especially if they get rid of Blair. Two other really good teams that could improve with him are Memphis and Indiana. I also think he’d be a great pickup for Minnesota, Golden State, Dallas, Toronto or Atlanta if they want to improve their playoff chances.

I’d really like to see Charlotte jettison their mediocre-to-bad players and sign a slew of veteran cast-offs like T-Mac, AI, K-Mart and Arenas to low risk contracts. They might be fun to watch and still be bad enough to get high lottery picks.
