I don’t understand why they didn’t just trade him in the off season instead of resigning him. He clearly doesn’t want to be there and it’s not like they have a long history with him. Sometimes I wonder what these execs. are thinking.

He never wanted to return to the Hornets. Phoenix medical staff would’ve never given the team the green light to offer him a max deal if his knee was still an issue. Look at the Amare situation a couple years ago. Seems to me E.G. is doing what he can to get out of New Orleans.
