Aside from travel, do they really think enough people in the area have the time to attend a sports game? Transportation aside, if people didn’t personally have homes that were damaged then I’m willing to bet they had friends that did. Reschedule it, the effects of this hurricane will be felt for weeks.

I still have no power and probably won’t for days. Can you guys set up some blogs on the opening games? Sorry, hard to leave wife home to deal with children to go watch at a bar. Especially Philly and new York games. Please!

Absolutely, this game should be rescheduled. If anything, the teams should be focusing on ways to help their community right now.

Is MSG in the same kind of situation? Why not just swap it with a Knicks/Nets game at MSG later in the season?

Reschedule it. It’s just a game. How many of these teams fans won’t even be able to watch with the power out?
