Video: Friday night’s best dunks courtesy LeBron, Green

Oct 27, 2012, 10:29 AM EDT

Friday night was the last night of preseason basketball. And we say goodbye without much sadness because it means no more games with key players sitting out for “general soreness” or coaches experimenting with lineups or guys destined for the D-League racking up 30 minutes a game. We’re ready for games that matter.

But we say goodbye with a couple entertaining plays. Above… note to the Hornets defense: If you don’t get between LeBron James and the basket bad things happen. Very bad things.

Below, well, if Gerald Green can carry some of his preseason play over the regular season the Pacers just got better. Green can still just get up like few others on the wing.

If they awarded extra points for players putting their head(s) through the rim after dunking, Green might be the best ever. Man he got up there!

I never thought I’d be saying this, but, Lebron’s dunks are kinda boring now. I mean he has clearly lost some lift, and I’m pretty sure that stems from him gaining a little more more muscle. But if you look back at his earlier days, the only reason his dunks were entertaining was because of the height he got on them, or he was posterizing someone. They always lacked creativity or variety. This is no indictment on his game, he is the best in the world, but after eight years in the L, his dunks are losing their flare, IMO.
