Oh, Delonte.

Delonte West has been suspended indefinitely by the Dallas Mavericks, the team announced Thursday.

“We have suspended Delonte for conduct detrimental to the team,” GM Donnie Nelson said in a press release. “The suspension is effective immediately and no other statements will be issued.”

There are reports of another locker room outburst from West that led to the suspension, but we have no details.

West fired back on twitter:

West had already been suspended for one preseason game following a locker room outburst this preseason. After that everyone made up and West was jokingly calling coach Rick Carlisle “Uncle Ricky.” This one has the feeling of lasting more than one game and one day.

West suffers from a bipolar disorder for which he takes medication (that is what he is referencing in the tweet above). West played well for the Mavericks last season — coming off the bench and giving them 9.6 points and 3.2 assists per game with a PER right at the league average of 15.3 — and was without any serious incidents. They re-signed him needing more of that role this year.

Maybe he slept with “Aunt Donna” and ‘Uncle Ricky” did not approve.

The fact that this walking, talking turd is still in the league is symptomatic of everything that is wrong with the NBA.

He might be a head case at times but the dude can play. Very versatile can play the point or shooting guard can start or come off the bench if Dallas decided to release him I think a contender should an will take a chance on him

He goes to China to play with T-mac, screws J.R.’s mom , gets into a riot with Red Army at Tiananmen Square, runs up and down Great Wall of China and is sent to North Korea as punishment for his outburst. Meets Bill Clinton, gets released, and tells Bubba, “I did not have sex with that woman”( LBJ’s momma)
