At best, this Dallas team is a really dangerous 4 or 5 seed, though it all depends on just how productive OJ Mayo is. If he’s ever going to live up to his high school recruiting pedigree, it’s going to be now. The best part? If he works out, super. Another chip to help attract a big free agent next year. If not? The team just has an old Dirk Nowitzki and cap room for more mediocre players…and more 4 or 5 seeds.
