Even if Bynum does not play, it was worth it to trade Igoudala. I like this team as it has been set up. Plus they have a ton of money to work with next year. I’m looking for good things from “Your Philadelphia Seventy Sixersssssss!”

You are right, GIANT red flags or not, some owner will definitely give Bynum a max deal. Even if he had to roll up in a wheelchair to sign his contract, he’d be signing a max deal.

Flipside for the sake of conversation: their have been plenty of turds and worse players to get max deals than Bynum so by NBA Owner/GM standards(which are pretty low) Bynum probably deserves a max contract.

This is his contract year, so he better start playing with a little pain or he won’t be getting that max deal he’s looking for. Oh wait, we’re talking about NBA owners here? Some idiot will definitely give him a max deal even if he doesn’t play a game this year.

Sixers looked just fine in every preseason game without Bynum. Hell, Holiday, Turner, and Wright sat out Monday against the Knicks and the Sixers still won, and were up by 20 at one point, against a Knicks team playing all their starters (minus amare). Sixer’s have the opportunity to go from one of the worst shooting teams in the league last year (probably worst team ever to make the playoffs shooting-wise) to one of the best shooting teams in the league this year. Smart move sticking Thad Young into the starting lineup finally. Dude straight balled out in the preseason.
