Video: John Lucas III with the shot of the night from Monday

Oct 23, 2012, 9:29 AM EDT

John Lucas III isn’t going to see the floor a lot early in the season in Toronto — Kyle Lowry and Jose Calderon are ahead of him on the depth chart. Until the Raptors find someone to take on Calderon and his quality play and inflated $10 million contract in a trade, Lucas is going to have a hard time getting on the court.

But Lucas has his moments, like this buzzer-beater against the Bucks from Monday night. That was an impressive shot.

you do realize that Calderon is at least stat wise been in the top 10 pg’s almost every year last few years now….

if you watch him play, he’s a true PG, always under control with the pace, shoots only when he needs too and shoots it well.. basically 24/7 doing the right PG thing when on the floor…

now I been seein some people come out the woodwork now that his age is catching up to him, and his time as an NBA starter are at an end, that’s fine and all…. but don’t make broad statements that are just plain wrong, truth is, big contract aside…. every team out there would love to have a guy like this as a backup PG
