I know, it's very VERY early, but 19 and 11 is nice in 26 minutes of pre-season play. Let's see how fast he gets in the starting lineup.

You thought Drummond would be a bust? He was projected to be the top pick for months until he and UCONN began to disappoint the country. He did have lacking numbers for his entire year at Connecticut, but I bet most people don't know that he came to UCONN at the very last minute (a player sacrificed his scholarship for Andre) and never adjusted with the team's offense, he looked lost all season. Lamb and Napier were selfish players, and Jim Calhoun wasn't there half the time, due to his own injuries. Drummond may have had the highest ceiling in the draft. I know I'm gonna get "you must be his agent", but he got stigmatized due to poor team chemistry.

Always liked this pick. He is only 19, and his physical gifts are things that cant be coached-up. I, for one, never had any doubts about his work ethic. Second generation Carribean from a work-happy family? I know that scene, firsthand. All of the teams who passed up on this kid because they doubted his work ethic need to re-evaluate their scouting teams. Mom and Dad probably worked four or five jobs to get that house that they showed in the draft day video. There is no way in hell that this kid is gonna be a lazy pro. Can he get big-headed, fall in with a fast crowd, react poorly to certain styles of management? Yes he can. Will he recognize his opportunity and work his ass off? Yes he will!
