Kobe will each Howard the proper attitude to play with in order to win a championship. Howard didn’t have the proper attitude when in the Finals against Kobe and he lost, now with Kobe he’ll have the right attitude to go out and win the whole enchilada.

I’m telling ya, you Laker fans must be the most insecure bunch I’ve ever run across. Anytime a painful FACT gets pointed out the reply, we got 16 how many do you have. Last I checked Boston has 17 so there. Not to mention, the Lakers have traded away the next 3-4 years of draft picks to put together team Viagra so doubt there is any reloading in the next couple. Face the facts, Kupcake has put together the team he felt represented the best chance to win it all this year period. With your bench substandard at best and the average player age on the wrong side of 33 you had better hope there is not a single glitch all season because it will truly take a near perfect season to reach your goal. Just man up to the facts in the present and quit referring back to the good old days as if they have any bearing on this year. Over and out.

Consecutive championships is the best measure. Some teams catch lightning in a bottle, one hit wonders. Golden State Warriors, 1975. The Gold Standard of great teams is the Boston Celtics, consecutive champs from 1959-1966.

The Heat have a good chance to repeat. The Lakers have a good chance to compete. Let the Games begin!

IF the Lakers can go into this years Playoffs healthy, they can get a Ring. Next year too. This assumes no more SuperTeam trades, which is unlikely. Something tells me that the Maloofs are in trouble, and just may trade Mr. Cousins. In the right system, with the right teammates, he could also change the balance of power.

I dislike them as well, but I have to disagree with you about them being a great team. A very good team, but not great. A great team would not have been down in two of there 3 playoffs series. A great team would be the 2001 Lakers when they only lost 1 game in the entire playoffs. 15-1. That’s a great team.

I hate the heat with every ounce of hate my body can produce. That being said…no denying they are a great team. Lakers will be be alot tougher this year so it should be a interesting season.

He will win at least one here its just a matter of time and him taking his game to the next level, Lakers are great at surrounding franchise players with help, you can’t argue with consistency and that’s a fact, Lakers are in the finals on a average of 3-4 years….some teams haven’t even been to the finals in their entire history

My point is the LAKERS franchise centers always win titles while playing in the PURP AND GOLD. I never said they didn’t win before that. Other than Wilt, they all had their greatest success as LAKERS.

Wilt won a ring in philly. Alcindor won rings at ucla and milwakee. Shaq had young bucks around him, horry, fish, fox etc. this team is old as dirt. In 3 years if they get 2 more studs with howard then maybe.
