Video: Kobe dunk destroys Antawn Jamison in practice

Oct 10, 2012, 12:57 PM EDT

The first dunk is nice, but get to the :16 mark of this video for the second dunk. That is where Kobe Bryant drives the lane and Antawn Jamison — not exactly the most feared defender in NBA history — is not about to slow down that train. The result is as you might expect.

Kobe looks pretty fresh coming off his Olympic summer. We’ll see if Mike Brown can keep his minutes down and keep it that way.

Hat tip to SLAM for the video.

The video must have cut off before I saw anyone get “destroyed”. I did see Antawn Jamison play team defense and slide over to contest Bryant’s shot after Btyant beat his man. Jamison was late, put a hand in Kobe’s face, but Bryant was able to dunk the ball.

Jamison will never alter anyone’s path to the basket. It’s gonna be a train wreck when he has to guard Griffin or Love.

love was top 5 in scoring i believe..griffin dunks over anyone and everyone. those two make potential ‘train wrecks’ for anyone.

way to over analyze and miss the point…

I’m a Lakers fan and I guess I’m no longer sure the definition of destroy(ed). All I saw, was a dude that needs to step in the lane and man-up if he is going to wear that (LA)purple and gold.

You wanna see Kobe destroy someone recently go look up the dunk vs Okur in the 2011 1st round playoffs

just add Kobe to the long list of people that have embarrassed Jamison. It’s hardly an accomplishment…

Yep, he dunked the ball. BUT now he may miss the first pre-season game due to a shoulder strain !

This is what happens when you reach your mid-30’s and/ or have been playing a professional sport for over 15 years.

Nash, Jamison/ MWP, Kobe, Gasol….the Faker starting 4 all are at the cliff, of their prime. The drop off will be dramatic !

This is a prime example of the laker season ! A guy makes a simple uncontested dunk and can’t play the next game(s).

Can’t WAIT til the season starts….getting my truckload of salt this week, to rub in the faker fans wounds…ahahahahah

What? I freakin hate the Lakers, but anyone who isn’t afraid of what these guys can do if they stay healthy is delusional. Every GM in the west collectively shi! their pants after the Nash/Howard deals were finalized. Crazy.

      • progress2011 - Oct 11, 2012 at 6:16 PM

Which GM’s pair of pants did you have to clean the ‘ish off, while working at the local laundry !

Because, unless you personally hand washed the ‘ish off, you have ZERO clue, what other GM”s were thinking.

The fakers got MUCH older and did not improve the bench AT ALL !

So, unless you can roll the clock back 10 years, when the 5 guys I mentioned had fewer miles and could play thru injury….this team is a bunch of players VERY near the end of their careers.

Did I mention, they have NO productivity coming off the bench. So, when the geriatric starters have to sit down and get rubbed down with icy-hot, whatever lead they had will evaporate in seconds !

You can stop being such an “unfortunate-fan” by making better decisions, reading, listening and being a good student, while I attempt to teach you something …..BOY !!!

Just curious Progress2011, which GM’s pair of pants did you have to clean after he pulled out of your butt? You obviously know what they’re all thinking based on the pillow-talk you shared.
