If Jerry Sloan, one of the best coaches ever chose to retire rather than coach Williams, nobody can coach him. He is nothing but trouble. Sloan even managed to somehow coach Karl Malone, but couldn’t handle Williams. Anyone that chooses to coach or play with Williams is crazy. He and cuban are both d-bags.

Focusing on just this aspect of the Mavs/D-Will situation Cuban’s pretty much on the ball here. D-Will opened his mouth and Cuban was just there to put his foot in it.

Now, from the bigger picture Cuban needs to shut up because I don’t care what he says, you sign Chandler and Barrea and give your shot a legit shot to defend their championship. It’s almost like he got over the hump and was satisfied with the one championship. I get that but I disagree with it. He put a lot of undue pressure on the team to perform and on Dirk in particular and essentially wasted a valuable year of Dirks remaining playing time.

Now the roster is overturned, there’s really no assumption on anyone’s part that they’ll do anything in the playoffs, and Dirk is back to being the lone gunman. They don’t even have Terry and he was easily signable (and signed for far less with Boston than people thought he would get).

It’s a pretty frustrating situation from a fans standpoint because yes we did win the title (and in an awesome way, revenge + LeBron) but man as quick as it came it was gone and the Mavs are back to being a decent team but no real threat to do anything. Ah well…

When the best known, most famous, biggest star on your team is the owner, you have an issue. Cuban = Dana White, no matter what the players/fighters do, ultimately it’s always about them. Steinbrenner is another equivalent, but at least the Yanks won multiple titles, and even George wasn’t as intrusive and spotlight grabbing as Cuban.

Hey sometimes you can’t see the forest for the trees. This guy deconstructed his team for the chance to get D-Will and possibly Dwight Howard and he does not even have the sense to show up to meet the guy. I mean he tore apart his championship roster to get D-Will….LMAO. Even if it was only a slightly improved chance that he would sign with you should’nt he show up to meet him? Now your response is we want to build a team not just a superstar point guard….SMDH. Too arrogant for his own good sometimes.
