Probably not.

People can’t have it both ways. They say it’s awesome when a player sticks to his original franchise, but they also cheer on players that their team acquires from their original franchise.

In an age when players become journeymen in the latter half of their careers instead of ending their careers with the teams they were drafted by I commend Pierce for sticking around and being loyal. I have no idea if the Truth can translate well to coaching or front office work in a post-playing career, but he’s earned a chance at it and he is certainly surrounded with that type of top talent with the Celtics in Rivers and Ainge to learn from.
