Wow, even less sense than your previous post. Why wouldn’t any other team want to emulate one of the most successful franchises in all of professional sports? If you want 16 championships in 31 finals appearances, to have missed the playoffs all of 5 times since 1948, been the first NBA team to 3,000 wins, be one of only three teams to never have lost 60 games in a season, still hold the NBA record of 33 straight victories….. who the hell else would serve as a model?

You not only don’t know where the Chargers play, you’ve never heard of the Boston Celtics either. The Lakers (and Celtics, Spurs, Thunder, Heat, etc.) fill your “context” definition of a model quite well. The Chargers? Eh, not so much….

When you win lots of titles you don’t get high draft picks. Unlike other teams that win occasionally (or rarely) and then spend a decade getting back to the top, the Lakers find ways to stay at the top. Apparently your “model” organization is one that doesn’t have a savvy front office insuring the fans get a contender to cheer every year. Oh, yeah, I guess your name says it all. A doofus who hasn’t realized the Chargers moved to San Diego 51 years ago and won ONE title (1963, AFL). Now THAT’S a model franchise, right?

Lakers, the complete opposite of a model franchise, 95% of the playing time on their roster goes to players not drafted by the organization. Their ‘fearsome’ starting 5 is made up of players acquired through trades, and except for metta he signed up with these clowns.
