He could barely give the Celtics that last year and they are still causing him issues. His shooting suffered tremendously. Before these articles, he was the "final piece" the "dagger". Now he's just another guy. You heat fans are so cute. You're just about as hateable as Lakers fans.

"This is not a minor thing, this is a huge addition to Miami who fills a major gap for them admitting that he’s going to keep having problems with a very painful injury that held him out of games in the playoffs and limited his effectiveness."

...Major gap? What major gap? Pretend Ray Allen retires tomorrow - Miami is left with only Mike Miller, Rashard Lewis, Mario Chalmers, Shane Battier, James Jones, and Josh Harrelson as three point shooters - all are career 35+% shooters from 3, and Jones and Miller have been closer to 45% in recent years. Chris Bosh has been working on his 3 point shot, and you can ask Boston and OKC whether or not his shot improved (he shot over 50% from 3 in the ECF and Finals).

"It may not be a major problem, he’s not acting like he’s still limping around. But it is something to keep an eye out for as we wait to see this upgraded version of the Death Star."

...He's doing much better than "not limping around." He's practicing with the team and reportedly looks very good. Playing Ray Allen 40 minutes a game for 82 games plus the playoffs probably isn't an option, but it's not exactly what the plans were for him anyway. Wade plays for 30-35 minutes, Ray plays for 15-20 minutes, and they're on the court together for a few minutes a game. Nothing too strenuous.

Yeah...I don't like this ankle thing. In order for him to be a "rocket launching three ball machine" he needs to feel physically capable or relatively physically capable. He clearly wasn't last year and lost his spot to Avery Bradley, if this is still lingering and hasn't been fixed (in Ray's mind at least) then not sure what kind of production we'll get. If the Heat go small, and that definitely seems like the direction, Walt is your most natural fit at the two (Wade as your big wing) to ensure opposing coaches don't counter with a bigger lineup. Spoelstra and Riley know this (even if the casual fan doesn't) and Walt was their answer for this.

He's not a starter, he knew he would be coming off the bench when he signed, I would imagine the Heat knew all this before they signed him.
