age and conditioning i don’t know about everybody else but i think we got enough players that we should have signed 10yrs ago

Age and fitness questions aside, he does have far more championship/playoff experience than anyone else on the roster, aside from J Kidd. If you can’t out-super team your way through the east, you have to figure out some type of of way to get Melo and Amare to realize what it takes to get to the highest level.

If he could get into shape by Christmas, he’s good enough defensively to help. And can drain a few 3′s. We wouldn’t need him for much else with all the other “atha-letes” on the floor.

Um, I’m pretty sure that ‘Sheed would have to actually get in the game to be able to do that.

And if he’s in the game at this stage of his career, that’s a plus for whomever the Knicks happen to be playing. Actually, the Knicks themselves are a plus for pretty much any team whom they’re playing, save the lottery-bound.

Hey, I always felt that the Knicks needed some crazy dudes to get them where they need to go…why not add one of NBA’s craziest! Rasheed may not play much but I know when push comes to shove he will not hesitate to punch Chris Bosh in his throat for flexing after a lay-up in the 1st quarter!

I always loved Rasheed Wallace, especially his, “the ball don’t lie” theory.

That being said, how on earth is a 38 year-old Wallace who is likely FAR from being in NBA condition, going to help the Knicks? Even if he decides to play he will likely battle nagging injuries all year, as is typically the case for players who show up for camp out of shape, not to mention guys who are pushing 40.

This is akin to the Heat’s Eddie Curry experiment last year. A nice comback story if he makes the team, but if he ever plays significant minutes in a meaningful game, avert your eyes, because it won’t be pretty.
