I live in the Bay Area and got to watch Baron up close. Great player when he wants to be but is a contract year guy. Always great to coach the year or two before his contract is up and then when he gets guaranteed money - lookout.

I guess he's starting to realize the movie business isn't as easy or lucrative as he thought and is looking towards a career post basketball.

@cowboy you represent everything that's wrong with the league these days. If you we're injured on the job would you expect your employer to say piss off or be loyal to you after you worked your ass off?

Baron is a multiple time all star that most kids coming in the league idolized growing up. Iman has a similar injury and they have spent all off season training together. Would you rather have a guy like Davis around him or a clown like JR Smith?

The Knicks aren't even holding a roster spot for him. He's got to attempt to make the roster in a year.

That's nice and all (he's charitable) but he was still a terrible guy for the Knicks to pick up (they did so while he was out with a back injury. And now a knee injury?

The Knicks problem is not that they NEED a community outreach program/team advisor, it's that they NEED a championship.

Whatever.
