Do you not remember any of what happened?

Lin was bounced around from bench to bench all over the league. He was broke and about to get the big boot out of the league.

Suddenly, players start to go down, the Knicks hit a wall and start dropping games...
Lin gets his start, plays better than anyone would have ever expected (38 points against the Lakers.. some veteran players have NEVER scored 38 points in a game) and brings the Knicks back to playoff contention.

You could say Lin was the only reason they were the 8th seed in the playoffs. Now he is rich, a symbol for any asian with a passion for basketball, and still a humble guy. Lin was a great addition to the basketball media and he was great for the NBA. He deserved everything he got from that.

I have nothing personal against this guy just the media for overblowing him and making him out to be a god when he was barely a flash in the pan he was like a short term Tebow in terms of media attention. Again nothing against him but utterly overblown.

when the first asian came to baseball they were all pitchers. its almost the same for basketball when all asian players were tall. but lin is more comparable to a position player. hes no way near as good as ichiro but at least hes not just playing because hes tall.

hes also the the first nba player asian americans can relate to. other notable asian american athletes lin can look up to: dat nguyen, bj penn, michael chang, and whoever else i missed.
