i agree with cam and malt, losing barnes will hurt. he was one of the few bench guys with energy. he knew his role. also, i believed he had good chemistry with the other players (i saw that though could be wrong).

Exactly cam. I thought Barnes did just fine. Good D, hustled every game, 2nd chance points and rebounds galore. Dude rebounded like a PF, man he was active. I’m gonna miss him. Especially with Christian Eyenga gone (sleeper talent!) and if Trevor Ariz..ah…his younger brother from a different father Devin Ebanks doesn’t take the next step.

But I don’t know why other Laker fans are writing off Barnes, yes, he didn’t make his 3′s in the post-season, but he was one of the most productive bench players from last season. I liked the energy he always brought and I like the scrappy approach he brought (didn’t he almost get into it with the Clippers in the January 25th game?). The Clippers have a really deep bench, it’s up to DeAndre Jordan and Vinny Del Negro to step up if they’re going to take it to the next level.

I’m glad that M.B. was able to stay local, and that it didn’t upset his life too much. I always thought he was a good (enough) player for the LAKERS. I remember he took less money to come play here, to try to win himself a ring. I wasn’t real happy with the LAKERS not picking him back up this year, but I am happy with the team makeup as it now stands. Looks like there just wasn’t enough room on the roster to bring him back, even at the minimum.

Now, what’s going on with D. Fisher?
