Some of the stiffs mentioned in this article are names I’ve never even heard before. Brian Cardinal? Damien Wilkins? Dan Gadzuric?

Some of the others are merely frequently mentioned names that never amounted to much, or whose best days are long ago. I’m looking at you, Bibby.

How about some mention of really big names who would be better served by hanging up their shoes–like Jason Kidd?

Howard’s never been the flashiest player and I admit he could’ve retired five or six years ago, but the guy did have a pretty solid NBA career for a good decade or so. Look at his earlier career averages. Now he’s old, running on fumes, and ring chasing. He should hang it up with some pride.

I don’t know about other arenas but here in DC there was a section fairly high up in the stands that shouted out together Scal-a-bri-ni every time he touched the ball. I think it had to do with the shape of his body – just did not look like a pro athlete in anybody’s book. Also, at the risk of being rude, Gooden really was a total complete dud.

I’m surprised this clown has lasted this long but I guess sitting at the end of the bench you stay healthy. He’s always been a bust in my opinion. Even in college, what did he really do? Other than ride Webber’s coat tails.
