okay, i see a thumbs down..i figured i shouldve elaborated originally.
what i meant was yes, you are very correct in saying wade cant be the ball dominator, or play like a monster, how the dynamic has changed and wade has to play by the best interests of the team. yes. true. but all i hope for is that wade is healthy to the point where he is CAPABLE of doing just that, yet playing in a way that is in the best interests of the miami heat. for instance, when kg pierce and allen teamed up for the FIRST time, ray allen was averaging 26 in seattle, pierce was a capable franchise player still and KG was a beast. yet they played in a manner that was better for the team. they were all capable and healthy enough to play like their perennial all star selves, yet they toned it down, played more efficiently and won a title immediately.

i want wade to be healthy enough to be ABLE to perform like a monster, but still know when to pick his spots. think synergy….

I don’t believe Wade will be a “monster” simply because it isn’t in the best interest of the team. Last season he was slowed by the knee injury and it was a blessing in disguise. Wade couldn’t be the isolation, ball dominating guy he’s always been because his body wasn’t holding up. He’s always been an amazing player, but LeBron is the alpha-dog now. LeBron is too good not to have the ball in his hands every play. That’s why the Heat won the championship; because in Game 6 LeBron James decided he wasn’t going to be beat and nailed 19 of 26 shots to eviscerate the Celtics in Boston. Then he went to work in the post against the Thunder and made the smart play every time. LeBron couldn’t have done that last year with Wade healthy and still playing the alpha-dog role.

Maybe Dwyane Wade is capable of scoring 27 a game and leading a team deep into the playoffs but the dynamic has changed and he will be the greatest wingman in the league.

Wade reported that he’s working with a shooting coach.

Also – check out the leaders in the NBA in terms of scoring in the low post amongst shooting guards.

Kobe is at the top of the list (he’s been working on his post-game for awhile), but Wade is in 2nd place.

So Wade’s already begun the transition to an “after age 30″ game.

Wade will come back strong. I heard some random kid say Wade is a bum now and Lebron carried the team all season.

to quote drake, wade, ‘in his mind’ b4 getting surgery : “I had someone tell me I fell off, ooh I needed that.”

wade said he was playing with one leg last post season. i hope to see the wade who garnered kobe’s respect back to his old form.

I agree. The guy has a toughness and grit that not many other superstar players have. I think the “old” chatter motivates him. As the commenter says below Spo will have to temper that hunger with minutes from Walt until the post season, then all bets are off.

My only concern is how he transitions into the second phase of his career when he’s no longer the most athletic g on the court. He’s got a very good looking stroke and excellent balance…I’d love to see him develop a knockdown j out to 3.

I’m expecting 30 minutes a game this year for Wade… there is no need to over work him in the regular season, plus the addition of Allen will ease the pain of not having to play him extended minutes.
