If Simmons and Jon Barry are doing pre-game; they might as well just go all in and hire the guy from Cleveland who burned LeBron's jersey in 2010, Drunk Santa at the Mavs Heat game last X-Mas, Tampajoey, the lady who made LeBron's crappy birthday cake that his manager rejected prior to his party, Delonte West, the Valet guy at the Fontainebleau who got beat up by Mama James, & Dan Gilbert.

"Tonight on NBA Pre-Game; we get on our knees and pray LeBron's team doesn't win because for some unknown reason, his not winning makes us happy and/or validates our original opinion that the Heat/LeBron couldn't win putting their team together this way. Next on TNT!"

Although I do love Simmons. Attaching movie quotes to athletic events/players....brilliant. Levels of losing...awesome. Mailbags....always great. Podcasts...listening to one right now.

But he loses credibility because instead of celebrating what the Heat (and LeBron) have been able to accomplish since coming together (seriously, even the 10-11 "failure" was a trip to the Finals and a loss in 6 games. That's not exactly a "failure"), he ridicules and nitpicks. He tweets with his buddies during Heat games and all he does is rip the Heat and make fun of LeBron, which would be fine, but there's never any praise to balance it out. Only after this season ended and through olympics did he reluctantly and through clenched teeth admit that if you are a fan of basketball, there's no way you can possibly not like LeBron James. If he's going to go pre-game TV, he's got to sprinkle in some objectivity along with the jokes about LeBron's hairline (always funny, by the way).

Okay, back to the podcast.
