First Derrick Rose/adidas “the return” video released

Aug 22, 2012, 9:15 AM EST

As we told you before, adidas is chronicling Derrick Rose‘s return from ACL surgery through a series of videos and interviews, and the first official one is out.

Rose has said before that while he worked out and worked on his game, he had never really worked on his balance, his core, the things a lot of athletes focus on. He hadn’t needed to. He does now. Which like he says could help him bounce back, although the biggest factor there is he is 23.

Rose is expected to return after the All-Star break sometime. He may want to come back sooner but the Bulls are saying they don’t want to rush him. Which is the right thing. This is about the next five years, not getting back for a meaningless January game.

Wow looking at that made my knees weak! Hope you have a speedy recovery Rose! NBA needs you! My Heat will be waiting!

They should just shut him down for the year, trade away unused/misused parts for a plan to either tank and get Rose another star or to gain the cap room to sign one. Half a season of Rose is only going to get them mediocrity and move Rose closer to the end of his contract which should signal some serious movement in the league.

I loves me some D. Rose!! The Bulls should go after James Harden next season IF the Thunder can’t re-sign him. Harden and Rose would be a phenomenal backcourt!

^ I was really hoping we’d see a Mayo/Rose backcourt, but the Mavs managed to steal him.
