It was just last summer that he said he planned to test the waters of free agency. I guess the trade for Monta Ellis has made him realize he is not the franchise player after all.

He doesn’t have the other skills needed to be a franchise player. Hope the GM realizes this and doesn’t give out another bloated contract.

I think the trend we’ll see is that extensions will be signed by players that realize they will NOT make that kind of money on the open market.
